thanks lizel. i did the lampwork on a hot head torch using Bullseye glass, it took me approximately 3 hours to do (latticino, torch time and stringing the beads). the set is $60AU. i still got this and i'm bringing it with me to the PI, as one of my presents to my lovely relatives....so if you like it, let me know asap so I can reserve it for you...how's that? I'll give it to your mum, so for sure it will be safe in transit, that is... if she doesn't take a liking to it heheeheh.
